How this number is built
This tracker reports both directions, and it is careful about which one it can actually see. We monitor live AI-role listings posted by employers on their own public job boards, then scale that observed hiring to a global estimate calibrated to the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2025 — 11 million jobs created and 9 million displaced by 2030. The creation side therefore moves with something we measure. The displacement side does not: no employer publishes a feed of the jobs their AI replaced, so that figure runs at a flat projected rate and is labelled as such. The daily figure resets at midnight UTC and the monthly figure rolls over on the first. It is an indicator of the trend, not a census, and we publish the underlying daily data as a free CSV so anyone can check our work.
