SpaceXAI, the division of SpaceX previously known as xAI, has launched an early beta version of Grok Bot, a new AI agent designed to function as a persistent digital coworker. The release is available starting today, August 11, for SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Premium Teams subscribers.
Grok Bot is engineered to enable AI assistants to perform continuous work across existing software environments, moving beyond simple prompt-based interactions. Users can create Bots with specific roles, granting them access to necessary applications and websites to delegate tasks similarly to how they would with a human teammate. These Bots operate independently through their own computing environments, continuing tasks even when the user's device is not active, and can return for approval or after completing assignments.
The system was initially developed as a prototype within SpaceXAI and has been used internally for various functions, including sales, marketing, office operations, and bug resolution. The product is now being offered externally in a beta version, with pricing set at $120 per seat per month for teams and $200 per month for individual users. Grok Bot supports macOS, Windows, Linux, and iOS, with Android support expected soon.
Grok Bot's architecture allows for the creation of multiple Bots, each assigned a specific role, enabling simultaneous operation. SpaceXAI provides examples of potential use cases such as Sales Outbound, Talent Scout, and Expense Manager. A sales Bot, for instance, can manage account research, prospect scoring, and outreach preparation while aligning with user preferences.
